Rather than coming up with some all-too-clever April Fool's prank playing off my burgeoning career, obsessive nerdiness, or terminal bachelorhood, I'm going to share with you something I did for my friend, game designer Monte Cook.
Someone mistakenly typed his name as "Monet Cook" a few years ago and I decided to reimagine the blog and website of the famous painter, were he alive today.
You don't have to know a lot about game design or French impressionism to enjoy.
-Tom, who notes that you DO have to know a little something about Land of the Lost. Specifically: that the show was F-ING FRIGHTENING.

After years of surviving on bootleg VHS tapes picked up at GenCon, I was all over it when they finally brought out the the complete seasons on DVD. I have to say, what really took some of the bite out of the show for me was when I learned that due to budget limitations they never had more than three Sleestaks in a scene at a time.
I also tend to think it came off somewhat creepier on my folks' black and white TV than in glorious color.
Be that as it may, my kids still enjoy it.
If you love it, too, you can look for some of my fanfic over at HollySlashChaka.com
